What We Do
Opera Production
We produce biannual operas with the Brown and RISD community. Our fall operetta slot is more interpretive, including shows such as Soldier's Tale and Songs for a New World in venues such as Granoff Center or List Art Center. Our spring opera slot tend to be more tractional with an orchestra, which includes shows such as Candide and Orpheus in the Underworld in Alumnae Hall. All our performances are free to the public.
Arias Concert
At the beginning of every semester, we host an arias concert. In the Fall, we host our arias concert in front of Manning Chapel (pictured here), and in the Spring, we host our arias concert in Grant Hall. Any student is free to participate both as a singer and a pianist.
Children's Opera
Every spring, we have a short, fun, and accessible production sprint to create opera for children in the community. We perform at local elementary schools and libraries to serve the greater Providence community.
